Tovey and Tumlin Security, Inc has been providing professional security solutions for our diverse clientele for twenty five years. 

Founded in 1998 by Mike Tovey and David Tumlin, two retired veterans of the Atlanta Police Department, Tovey and Tumlin offers both armed and unarmed security in every corner of Georgia and throughout the Southeast. 

Mike Tovey
retired from the Atlanta Police Department with over 30 years service.  He worked as a member of SWAT Team and is certified as a bomb technician, counter sniper expert, hostage negotiator, and hazardous materials expert.   

David Tumlin
is retired from the Atlanta Police Department and the State Probation Department. He has over 30 years of law enforcement experience.  He has extensive experience as a criminal investigator.

Michelle Porter
has a background in working in fast-paced environments and has over 20 years of financial and property management experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, is a Licensed Broker with the Georgia Real Estate Commission. Michelle became part owner of the company in July of 2021 and is involved in the bookkeeping and payroll aspect, including overseeing financial operations.

Brad Porter
has over thirty years of experience working in the fields of Security and Safety. Within security, his experience includes managing security field operations, internal investigations, concerts and other special events. He management responsibilities have included amusement park medical operations, emergency planning and response, and facility compliance and responsibility for a myriad of areas such as ADA, EPA/EPD, OSHA and the PSC. His corporate responsibilities have also included writing and/or updating policies and procedures related to emergency response and safety awareness. Further, Brad has undergone training in basic police mandate, AED/CPR, firearms, self-defense and media relations. Brad serves as the Corporate Secretary for Tovey and Tumlin.
